I will be out of town, and I want my parents to have power of attorney to sell my car for me. What are the procedures for getting this? Will there be any fees or tax consequences?

13 points son!!! i cant be any happier that miami got swept. the only thing on my wishlist that didnt become a reality was shaq injuring both of his big toes leading to his early retirement.

the team of washedups and has-beens managed to be unable to maintain their rigged championship from last year and can take an early trip home to stare at the beach for the rest of the offseason.

shaq, with his larger than life ego can sit his overweight ass at home and exercise his fingers trying to change the channel away from kobe remaining in the playoff race. or he can try to sign a 0 contract to filming kazaam 2.

now if my lakers and the scrappy, most exciting team in the league (after watching game three of their series, i fall asleep watching teams like utah and houston go at it.) : golden state warriors can pull a win today then this makes out to be a sick and entertaining playoff series.

u cant beat that cali kush, its what our cali players are motivated by (LOL).
idiot of the day award: the dark side of the force

how i am a mavericks fan when im rooting for golden state? learn 2 read u f*ckin moron. im a fan of the game, when i see poor officiating and see the refs putting NBA image boy on the line every time he gets a ticky tacky foul then yeh im gonna talk sh*t. next time read before you decide to put ur useless opinion.
KingKlick, you are the man. wow, a sensible person on yahoo! answers, go figure. and hellyeh that Killa Kali son!

Does a Living Will “have” to be registered?

My dad-in-law is terminal and was given a Living Will form by the hospital to complete if he so wished. The documents state that you must complete and file with the US Living Will Registry in Westfield, NJ to be valid. I can’t believe that this absolutley must be filed in order to be valid. Can’t one just complete this form, or a generic of it, and keep on hand in known whereabouts if the issue ever comes up?

My wife’s grandfather passed away in March 2009, he had a will certified in 1993. The executor placed the property in probate instead of following the will. What can be done to remove the executor and retrieve all pertinent information about the property and execute the will properly?

I have asked insurance agents but they were so busy trying to sell it to me that they neglected to answer the question. What exactly are they, and what is the difference between the two?

My 25 year old cousin is schizophrenic & on medication. I’m trying to find out any information on an assisted living program either in NY or anywhere in the tri-state area. If anyone can give me any bit of helpful information, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

By comfortable living, I mean they can rent or own an apartment or house within walking distance to a beach. Have enough money to afford a late model sporty convertible. It doesn’t have to be an outrageously expensive Jaguar, but something nice. Have enough dough to eat out a couple times a week, travel, can afford new clothes when they need them, etc., and still have enough leftover to save for retirement and emergencies.

How much per year would that person need to earn to afford such a lifestyle in coastal Southern California?

How can I volunteer with the elderly?

I just love old folks, and would like to spend some time with them, as it would hopefully benefit both of us. Them from me helping and talking, and me from listening and seeing them smile. I don’t really want to be in a hospital setting, and retirement communities have their own personnel. Seems that only leaves healthy old folks, who probably don’t really need any help. Any suggestion?
thanks everyone.
detective, you are right. I was looking more for an ideal situation for myself, and should be volunteering when they need it most. Thanks for your wisdom.

Do you want to hear my new retirement plan?

No nursing home for me.. I’m checking into the Holiday Inn!
With the average cost for a nursing home care costing 8.00 per day, there is a better way when I get old and feeble.
I’ve already checked on reservations at the Holiday Inn. For a combined long term stay discount and senior discount, it’s .23 per night. That leaves 8.77 a day for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner in any restaurant I want, or room service, laundry, gratuities, maid service and cable TV with special movies. Plus, they provide a spa, swimming pool, a workout room, a lounge and washer-dryer, etc .. Most have free toothpaste and razors, and all have free shampoo and soap.

worth of tips a day will have the entire staff scrambling to help you. They treat you like a customer, not a patient. There is a city bus stop out front, and seniors ride free. The handicap bus will also pick you up (if you fake a decent limp).

To meet other nice people, call a church bus on Sundays.

For a change of scenery, take the airport shuttle bus and eat at one of the nice restaurants there. While you’re at the airport, fly somewhere. Otherwise, the cash keeps building up.

It takes months to get into decent nursing homes. Holiday Inn will take your reservation today. And you are not stuck in one place forever, you can move from Inn to Inn , or even from city to city. Want to see Hawaii ? They have a Holiday Inn there too.
T V broken? Light bulbs need changing? Need a mattress replaced? No problem. They fix everything, and apologize for the inconvenience.

The Inn has a night security person and daily room service. The maid checks to see if you are ok. If not, they will call the undertaker or an ambulance. If you fall and break a hip, Medicare will pay for the hip, and Holiday Inn will upgrade you to a suite for the rest of your life.

And no worries about visits from family. They will always be glad to find you, and probably check in for a few days mini-vacation.
coffeecakez
Whoa ! You need to lay off the caffeine.

I have pectus excavatum and I am with medicaid insurance. I was scheduled to get surgery June 15th and the medicaid was going to pay for the surgery but the surgeons office called me today and said that the medicaid got switched from straight medicaid to hmo medicaid and tha it wouldn’t cover the surgery now. Is there any way to change it back and how would I do that?
