As someone who is going through this right at this moment, get your sister to help out. It is a very time consuming, but just having someone there to shoulder some of the responsibility is a great thing. Both of you go and speak to estate attorney if possible and he will lead you in how to handle your mothers estate. Make sure Mom has a will, life insurance to prepay funeral plans, etc. I got tremendous help from the funeral director in all aspects of the funeral and estate finalization. Good luck
i’m sure there is an estate attorney who can handle the process in your behalf, but you are still going to have to sign papers, etc. and the attorney will charge a fee, but it might be worth it.

Are you trying to get access to her money, since you are in are in a poor financial state? I deal with estate and will planning daily, but I don’t undrstand your question. If your mother is overwhelemed then your sister and mother can go to the bank and have her put over the accounts. Its sounds to me as if you just want to get your mothers money. So I won’t give you any information
