Yes but don’t see a bankruptcy laywer. A bankruptcy lawyer makes his money off people that file bankruptcy so they tend to push it. Bankruptcy is NOT a good idea. If you have a mortgage pay it first because you need a place to live. You don’t need credit cards to live so if you have to just let them go and let collections hound you. They can’t hurt you. I’m assuming when you said your house was under water you were not referring to a flood. If you were referring to flood the your better off moving.
