How would they make money? And I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want you there either, they don’t want to have to deal with you.
You have to go because it the school responsibility of you. However, you don’t have to attend if you don’t want to. The school just have to offer that option.
At my school, i didn’t go during the whole week of star testing.

You are right in the sense that the school district will get money from your state for your attendance. It is the money that they pay the teachers, buy the books, hire the nurse etc with. When kids are absent money is taken away from the school. Since your last sentence is poor grammar, I think they need money for better teachers.
