I’m 15 and I am hoping to get into this 6 week program that pays 9 at the end of the program. I am going to put half into investments and then split the rest into another half and put some in my checking account and savings account. I hope to get a part time job during the school year so I can open up a Roth IRA account. My uncle told me that I would probably be working for the next 60 years of my like and I was like wtf (in my head). So I was reading and a Roth IRA account seems to be the way to go because I can take some of the money out to help buy my first home and a car. i just want to make sure that I am well diversified and that my money is working for me to the best of its abilities. Also I already am trying to invest in assets rather than liabilities=]

My husband and I want to apply together for a mortgage, his credit score is excellent, mine is non-existent since I have been in the US for only 3 years and have used credit cards related to my husband’s account only. Is there still a way for me to be on the mortgage?
Will my income be considered as part of our assets when we apply?

the government saying ‘pay us what we ask for and we will give you the coverage we deem appropriate?" Are there specific contract rights with respect to Social Security and Medicare? Are the rights assets of the individual, which can be borrowed against or left to loved ones?
Government regulations control private insurance and retirement plans. Who oversees the government plans?

I’m interested in becoming an independent financial advisor because I don’t want to feel obligated to push any one providers products/services. I want to know if I manage assets for a client, how best to collect commissions (a small percentage) and what is legally required in order to do so? My plan is to charge a reasonable hourly fee as well as a small percentage of AUM and I’m trying to figure out how to manage that aspect of the business.
Thank you for the last answer regarding the licensing. Now the questions is how would a licensed rep collect and manage that money if they are not with a particular firm? Is there certain software or some sort of web based management util, or is that something you somehow have to collect from the people you are working with?

In CA, when the Trustor/Settlor revokes his revocable living trust in its entirety with no desire to establish another trust, what is the legal instrument needed to officially transfer back to him (Trustor/Settlor) all his assets under his trust?

Can a husband put his assets in a living trust without his wife’s name on the trust, or without her knowledge?
Or, if a trust was already established then married, is the wife entitled to the trust?
Also the husband is ill.

Say my parent has a life insurance policy, but depletes their assets and becomes eligible for medical assistance to pay for nursing home or medical costs. What happens to the payout to the beneficiary after that person’s death? Is it even worth keeping up such a policy in that case? Thanks.

Looking for estiamte for Silicon Valley, I was quoted ,500 which seems high. Not looking for fees to manage assets, but cost of someone to review your financial situation and goals and to advise on what to do with money. Thanks!

My father in law recently passed in Michigan. He has numerous properties and assets. All properties are owned free and clear. Only 2 are owned with his wife (my hubby’s step-mom). The wife will not tell us any details of the will, but has said it has went into probate court. How can we find out details of the will and info on the probate court?
Thanks for the links. Nothing is listed for his name in the records. Is it possible that there aren’t any records to search because the case isn’t closed?

My dad was in the hospital for almost a month before he died from a car accident. After that my step mom retained all of his assets including vehicles. Could she do this without power of attorney and without notifying me and my siblings?

I am graduating college with a bachelor’s degree in financial management and I am starting work as a financial advisor associate(FAA). I know eventually my pay will be based on performance and how much assets I manage, but for the first two years while you are in their training program you draw a salary. So how much can I expect to make during those first two years?

So I asked when in one’s career one should begin seeing a financial planner and the basic answer was yesterday – even though my assets are low. I was told to go with a fee-based (more independent) company. Question 1: How do I find a good financial planner? Question 2: What should I expect in our first meeting? (what should I bring, how do i prepare, etc)

My grandfather passed away and I suspect the executor of his estate might be stealing the assets. The executor is not a family member. Is there any way to find out my late grandfather’s net worth? I don’t believe anyone in the family knows how much he was worth.
