how much does a Registered Client Service Associate for a Financial Advisor make? Salary wise or per hour?
The Registered Client Service Associate provides full administrative and operational support to one or more Financial Advisors. Responsibilities include direct client contact, taking clients orders and providing account and market information; maintaining files and preparing correspondence and documents for Financial Advisors and Clients. The Registered Client Service Associate will take an active role in solving operational problems, and a strong background in branch operations system is needed for success.

I am on the Marine Temporary Disabled Retirement List. During "DTAP" I vaguely recall a warning not to reveal (not disability, but) receipt of pension to future employers as they may discriminate salary-wise. Theory being that employers often pay "retirees" less because its assumed our financial need is primarily met by the other income. (1st question: is this founded and how will I find out since its uncouth/prohibited to discuss salary with co-workers?) Additionally, I just received orders to report to my 1st periodic exam. I do not want to have to use my vaction/sick/personal days (my employer groups them) for -military orders-. (2nd part of the question; can they count the day or two taken for this against my earned time off?) Finally, my orders mention that failure to report could result in termination of pension & benefits. (Given answers to 1 & 2; 3rd part: do I risk providing this info since it will probably be necessary to avoid expending earned time off?) Thank you!

Do I need to pay any headcount cost if the recruit opts for no fixed salary but he earns just by his own sales commission? If there is no cost involved, does it mean that i can just recruit as many people as possible and earn from their sales, since I (as the boss) do not have to pay them anything (unlike other jobs)?

I’m out of work right now. I’m 58 years old and no employer will even look at me because of my age. How dose the government think people in my situation will support themselves? I notice that the senators and congressman don’t talk about cutting their retirement plan and their using OUR money for their plan which gives them a full salary after serving ONE term.
Curtis 1911. I’m a republician. I’ve applied at wal mart and Mc Donalds and as a school bus driver. No interviews just rejection notice in the mail if I’m lucky. So…..YOU sir talk like a man with a paper ass.

I am currently accumulating a sizable number of shares in a corporation in exchange for my consulting work. There is no salary, just sweat equity. The company has an above average chance at being acquired or at worst, being modestly profitable. My shares have the potential to be valued in the mid to upper six figures if we succeed. Of course, as a start-up, they also have the potential to be worth zero
My question is – - what would be the most advantageous way to accumulate these shares? I’m concerned about taxes, legal liability, etc.
1. Put shares in my personal name (I am a married father, homeowner, etc.)
2. Put shares in my company name (Currently have my own S-Corp I use for other part-time consulting work)
3. Start a new entity to serve as a ‘holding company’ for the shares – S Corp vs. LLC??
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I currently work for the Arizona State government.
I received a paralegal job offer from a small private practice.
I’d be going from salary to hourly.
And moving up in title.
How much of an increase should I ask for?
I would be losing my benefits and retirement but it is closer to where I live and the position is more enticing than what I do now.

Basically I want to know if there are any requirements (eg: salary maximum, etc) to being able to contribute to both a roth IRA and a 401k (or in my case a 403b). I’ve heard that once you reach a certain salary you can either contribute to a pre-tax OR a roth but not both.

I would like to do better with saving my money. I have a retirement 401K and money purchase pension plan through my employer, but would like to work toward saving at least 6 months salary for emergencies. What is the best way to save my money so that it gains interest at a good rate, but is accessible if I need it? Savings account, money market, CDs, or something else? And can anyone recommend a good website that compares interest rates of different banks? Thanks.

I recently graduated out of college and would like to begin investing for my retirement. However, there isn’t a Vanguard rep who can point me in the right direction as to which funds might suit me best.
Can anyone give me some sound advice? Just recently turned 24, and am making 40k salary a year. I would like to contribute roughly 15% of my salary to these funds.
Please let me know if any other information is needed. Thanks in advance
Hello,
It’s actually in a 403b account. Thanks for the quick responses!
