For my computer science class, I need to program a retirement calculator. The programming is not the part I am having trouble with, I need help with the algorithm.

The user inputs: a Lump Sum amount, a weekly or monthly investment amount, the annual rate and the number of months and years in the account

Program processing: *This is what I am having trouble with*

Program output: Yield (after the time has finished; amount in the account + interest)

The problem I seem to be having is in doing weekly payments to the account. He states that 1year = 52weeks and 1month = 4weeks… here is an example of data;

Lump Sum: 00
Weekly Investment: 0
Annual Rate: 0.07
Years: 25
Months: 6
Yield: 7,022.54

I have many questions but to simple it up with only one, please describe the algorithm for me and the formula I would use. The programming protion will be easy, I just need help with the prossessing portion of the program.

Have a friend that wants to divorce her partner, but she is afraid that her retirement account would be divided in the divorce settlement. Is this legal in California?

1. ban on activities that get elderly residents out and interacting with other residents and staff
2. Forcing elderly residents to remain in their rooms all day.
3. Locking down the facility and not allowing anyone from the outside world to come and visit or take their relative out for the day.
4. Basically the residents of these facilities are being treated like prisoners even though they are paying to be there whenever one of these facilities is quarantined due to an outbreak of some sort of virus.

But even if the person doesn’t catch the virus can they still have their health put in dangerous by this sort of restrictive living and loss of freedom and independence/forced isolation?

This happened at the place where my grandmother lives due to a stomach virus that’s been going around and according to several relatives it seems like she is beginning to mentally lose it. This has gone on for over a week now and was supposed to end last Wednesday however people still keep getting sick and the restrictions have yet to be lifted.

I’ve day traded many stock positions for last year (filed an extension) and when I try to do e-file it makes me list every buy and sell order which will be very time consuming. Is there a way around this and just report what my overall gains/losses will be?

Since my computer has updated I have not been able to open/download any files from my e-mail. I have reserched this problem recently. Also my IE was updated from 7 to 9. There was a suggestion of disabling the virus protection on the computer itself because Yahoo uses it’s own virus protection. I have disabled my virus protection on my computer and I’m still not able to open/download any files sent to my e-mail. Is there any other suggestions out there?

My friend’s brother asked for his social security number, as I understand it, to add him to his will. Is a social security number required for wills in any way at all?

I heard this was a pretty interesting business and soemthing I may enjoy doing. For those who don’t know what a foreclosure consultant is. Basically, if someone is evicted from their home for missing home equity/loan payments, then then the bank usually hires a contractor or a consultant to give the home a price tag. Does anyone know how to become one of these guys and what required training is needed?

My employers and myself have paid for social security and medicare benefits, why then "entitlement"? The government owes contributors these benefits. Compared to all the money the citizens pay in for congress’ and the senate’s retirement (which we did not get to vote on), I should receive my social security just as the political employees of this country receive theirs.

With the 9 digit social security number, there are only 100 million combination and nearly 300 million US residents. That DOES not count everyone who has been issued a number and has died in the last 80 years. So how do you know your number is original to only you?

First define what you consider the wealthy, then provide a percentage that you would tax their income to eliminate our recent deficits. Be specific and provide analysis that shows taxing the wealthy can eliminate the deficit without affecting job growth or tax revenue. Is it possible to tax the wealthy enough to cover your deficits?

No comment as to the numbers of how much I need to save – we could never do that.

So social security will have to be there.
Will it be?
I would like to retire at 40K a year, but there is no way we could save that on our own. Simply no way. We would have to live in a cardboard box and ride bicycles.

Do you think ss will be around for younger people that have anything in savings?
What if we reach a goal of 30K a year for our retirement years (without ss).
Do you think the feds would consider us wealthy and not give us ss benefits?
